In January 2012, the total value of Chongqing¡¯s service trade reached USD220 million, up by 57% on the same period for 2011. The value of exports reached USD0.12 billion, up by 140%, whilst the value of imports reached USD95.2 million up by 8.3%, with the favorable difference being USD26.7 million. By the end of January, the contractual sum of Chongqing¡¯s offshore outsourcing service reached USD38.24 million, up by 837% on the same period for 2011, whilst the actual sum reached USD20.40 million, up by 553%. In January, 30 technology contracts have been signed with a total investment of USD53.3711 million, up by 30% .
